Veedersburg, Ind.—Hillard R. Manning, 63, of Veedersburg Route 3, died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 1977 at Lake View Medical Center in Danville, Ill.

  Mr. Manning, a certified public accountant, had worked 29 years at the Bob Cartee Agency in Danville. He was a member of the American Legion Post 288 in Veedersburg.

  Mr. Manning was a veteran of World War II.

  Born Nov. 8, 1913 in Hillsboro, Ky., he was a son of Asa and Ninnie Mae Claypool Manning.

  Survivors include his mother of Veedersburg Route 3; a brother, Curtis of Veedersburg Route 2; a niece, Mrs. Robert (Cindy) Tanner of Covington, and three nephews, Dennis Manning of Attica and Ronald and Norman Manning, both of Veedersburg.
  He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

  Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial was in the Rockville Cemetery. Visitation was from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.  (Obit states Rockville Cemetery, but is actually Rockfield Cemetery) – s
